Private Sponsorship Programs for Refugees
On April 21, the Biden administration announced a new parole program that will allow individuals and private groups to sponsor the temporary protection of Ukrainians and others displaced by the Russian invasion.
The program, titled “Uniting for Ukraine,” is part of the administration’s commitment to welcome 100,000 Ukrainians fleeing the invasion, and launched on April 25. An online portal hosted by DHS provides additional details about the program.
